CAVANI NOT HAPPY

PSG striker Edinson Cavani has increased the possibility of leaving the French capital in the summer by saying that he is unhappy with the tactics at the club.

Cavani is regarded as one of the finest strikers in world football and he made the move to PSG in the £ 62 million deal from Napoli. This has made him one of the world’s most expensive transfers, but in the club that is rich with Qatari money, he is just one another player. He has been used on the wings in a 4-3-3 formation, which does not exactly suit his taste.

He has made his feelings known in an interview just before the Champions League quarter-final match with Chelsea, who are one of the potential clubs interested in him. According to Cavani he was under the illusion that PSG would be utilising him in a 4-4-2 formation alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, Laurent Blanc has been using the striker as a winger and this is not the best for him. The Uruguayan has largely been overshadowed by Ibrahimovic, but he has still managed to maintain a good record in terms of scoring goals.

He has more than 20 goals in all competitions, which is much better than his Chelsea counterparts like Fernando Torres.

“We’ll see at the end of the season. We have to finish the season first. I am in Paris, but there are certainly things we must talk about with the club, things should be done differently. I do not know (if my agent has met with United and Chelsea). If something should happen, it’s my brother who will do it and will be at the table with interested parties. Chelsea were interested,” said the striker. Despite these comments, Blanc is unlikely to change the 4-3-3 formation against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
