Cicinho Biography

Cícero João de Cézare, nicknamed Cicinho (born June 24, 1980 in Pradópolis, São Paulo, Brazil), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a wingback. He is currently signed with the Spanish "La Liga" club Real Madrid. Cicinho is known for his combative tackling, darting runs and attacking play, and is the current understudy to Brazilian legend and Godfather Cafu. He will stake a claim for a place in the first team once the great man retires.

Cicinho In 2005 he won the Confederations Cup with the Brazilian National Team, where he is known as a good replacement for Cafu. He officially joined Real Madrid in December 2005.

He had been linked with manchester United, and was even seen by the paparazzi outside Old Trafford with SIr Alex Ferguson, but decided against a move to the cold north, saying 'once I knew Madrid were in for me I knew I would end up there - nowhere else compares.'

He has shown some nice touches in his first half-season with Real, and will go from strenght to strength.
