Kylian Mbappe to seal Paris Saint-Germain loan move

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the cusp of sealing a season-long loan move for Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.

The France international will join the Capital outfit on a temporary basis for the campaign after which they are expected to secure a permanent deal worth £166m.

The 18-year-old will link up with Brazilian superstar Neymar, who made a shock switch from Barcelona earlier this summer for a world-record sum of around £198m. Neymar and Cavani have flourished in the forward department since the start of the season, but Mbappe is set to add an extra dimension to their game with his pace and fearlessness in front of goal.

Mbappe found success whilst playing from the left side of the attack last season, but he may have to contend with a role on the opposite flank with both Neymar and Edinson Cavani settled in their respective positions. Angel di Maria and Julian Draxler had been regulars out wide in the backend of the previous campaign, but they may have to potentially play a backup role or else push for a move away from Parc des Princes.

The former French champions have not had much luck while trying to compete for the Champions League crown in recent years, and the combination of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe could be a drooling prospect for the fans, who are expectant of the club to at least reach the semi-final stage of the elite competition.

Losing the Ligue 1 title to AS Monaco last term was a huge negative for a club of Paris Saint-Germain's calibre, and the Principality club appear to be doing favours to their rivals, having offered them the opportunity to sign their teenage prospect. Mbappe netted 26 goals during his breakout season at Stade Louis II last term, and he will be under immense pressure to perform at Les Parisiens due to the transfer sum on offer next summer.
