ZANETTI MOVING ON

Javier Zanetti has played over 600 matches for Inter Milan and even at his 40 years of age, rumors started popping around involving Jose Mourinho wanting to sign the veteran player and bring him to Chelsea but now after all of his years playing with the Italian club, he has been promised a role at Inter Milan even after he retires.

'I am very happy, because I think that I will continue to be a part of Inter. I never had any doubts about that, as there has always been absolute clarity with the president. The most important thing is that this marriage will continue'. Zanetti told the club’s official website.

The 40 years old player of Inter Milan is expected to discuss his future with the club when the season ends.

'Zanetti is a great player. I want him to focus on the season, and he agrees. There are only three months left, then after this season he can join the family'. The president of Inter Milan, Erick Thohir revealed.

Inter Milan was also being linked with Javier Hernandez and Fernando Torres as both of them are experiencing some hard times with their respective clubs and the Italian club led by Walter Mazzarri was believed to have taken an interest in them but Erick Thohir stepped up and denied having been in contact or being interested in signing either of them. "Chicharito is a good player but we have not spoken neither with he nor with Torres. By the end of the season we will evaluate all the players and decide who stays and who does not. We are negotiating a contract extension with Palacio." Thohir said.

The contracts of Esteban Cambiasso and Walter Samuel will expire at the end of the season and Walter Mazzari has a few players that he wants to add into the squad in summer.
