INTER IN TALKS TO SIGN MIDFIELDER

Italian football giants Inter Milan are in talks to sign Sassuolo midfielder DavideFrattesi. This is according to the report from Italian football publication Calciomercato which stated that the Italian champions have a plan in their bid to sign Frattesi from fellow Italian football top flight team Sassuolo. It was revealed that the Nerazzurihave a concrete plan in their quest to bag the player's signature.

Frattesi has been one of the best players at Sassuolo this season. The 22-year-old has four goals plus two assists in 20 appearances for his team. The Italian midfielder scored one of the goals as Sassuolorecord a 2-1 win over Juventus.Frattesi helped Sassuolo beat the Old Lady when the two teams met in October.

The aforementioned publication stated that Inter Milan are planning to use young defender Lorenzo Pirola in a swap deal for Frattesi. Pirola is presently on loan at Italian Serie B side Monza from Inter Milan. Sassuolosupremo Giovanni Carnevali is said to be a big fan of Pirola. Carnevali would definitely want to sign Pirola for his Italian football team.

Frattesi has been in very good form forSassuolo this season and it will take a lot of money to prise him away from the club amidst the interest from the Nerazzuri. The transfer fee could even increase if the Italian midfielder continues to show strong form for the Neroverdi. Sassuolo are said to value Frattesiat a transfer fee of €25m that could rise to €30m depending on his form. On the other hand, Pirola is valued at €9m and he would be used as a makeweight in the deal to sign Frattesi.

Inter Milan and Sassuolo have already initiatedtalks over a loan exchange with the obligation to sign clauses. The two teams are said to be keen on pulling off the two transfers permanently.
