MILAN IN FIVE-STAR SHOWING AGAINST WOLFSBERGER

Italian football giants AC Milan gave a five-star showing as they thumped Austrian side Wolfsberger 5-0 in a pre-season friendly game. The Italian Serie A holders scored five goals without any reply from their opponents.YacineAdli and Rafael Leao starred for the Italian football giants during the game as they gave a good account of themselves. Adli provided a goal and an assist, while Leao scored a splendid lob.

AC Milan had to navigate the friendly game with Wolfsberger without some of their players including Zlatan Ibrahimovic who’s currently injured. Apart from the Swedish football icon, the likes of new signing Divock Origi,

TommasoPobega and Daniel Maldini also missed the game. For Maldini, he's closing in on a move to fellow Italian football team Spezia on loan.

Adli started the game against Wolfsberger in the trequartista role behind the strikers and he was able to affect the game positively in favour of his Italian football club by dropping deeper and deeper to influence proceedings with his one and two-touch approach.
Portugal international Leao had gone close to giving AC Milan the lead before he eventually broke the deadlock six minutes from the half-time break off the assist from Davide Calabria. Three minutes later, Croatian international Ante Rebic doubled the lead for Milan off the assist from the impressive Adli. The goal from Rebic gave Milan a 2-0 lead at the break.
Junior Messias replaced the aforementioned Leao at the break and he was responsible for the third Milan goal on 57 minutes. Adli scored for Milan three minutes later before Matteo Gabbia wrapped the game up witha fifth Milan goal six minutes later via a header. Milan were able to end the game without conceding a goal thanks to goalkeeper Antonio Mirante who made a couple of saves in the last quarter of the game.
