Edinson Cavani Responds To Chelsea Transfer Speculation

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has clarified that he has no plans of leaving Les Parisiens amid the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge. The Uruguay international has scored 28 league goals for the Capital outfit who have cruised towards the Ligue 1 title and they most recently celebrated a treble after winning the French Cup against third-tier minnows Les Herbiers.

Speaking after the Cup triumph, Cavani assured that he is not thinking about a summer exit and he is keen on winning more silverware with the French champions, he said: “My future is here, of course. I think that it has been a good season. We must enjoy moments like these. I am pleased for the supporters to be here. Four consecutive Coupe de France wins represents a lot of history for PSG. We are here to win and win titles for the club.”

Leonardo Jardim Dismisses Paris Saint-Germain Links

AS Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has dismissed the prospect of succeeding Unai Emery as the next manager of Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, and the Portuguese rebuffed suggestions that he is interested in become Les Parisiens’ next head coach, he said: “Perhaps he will be Portuguese. However, his name will not be Leonardo Jardim.”

Meanwhile, Emery had his press conference, shortly after Jardim’s exit, and when asked about his future, he replied: “I have experience in football. I know this. I am making the most of each moment. We have objectives and there is a title at stake here. If there are a lot of journalists, it is an important match. I have a responsibility to prepare the team well.”

PSG Bounce Back From Madrid Loss

French soccer giants Paris St-Germain have bounced back from their loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg loss. They played very well but counter attacking football from their hosts left them staggering ahead of the return leg.

PSG now trail 3-1 ahead of the return leg in two weeks in Paris. The team, which many are hoping would stun the European champions, returned to winning ways as they hosted Strasbourg in the Ligue 1. Edison Cavani, who struggled against Madrid and had to be substituted, returned to goalscoring, netting twice and writing his name in gold in the annals of history at the club. The Uruguay international made it 86 goals – the most by any PSG player. Julian Drxler, Neymar Jr. and Angel Di Maria also scored to complete the five goal rout.

Mario Balotelli Insists Zlatan Ibrahimovic Is Better Than Edinson Cavani

Nice striker Mario Balotelli believes there is not comparison between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani as the latter is better with his individual attributes. Ibrahimovic was Les Parisiens’ leading goal-getter prior to his departure during the summer of 2016, and Cavani has since surpassed the feat whilst commanding a regular role in the centre-forward position.

Ahead of Nice’s Ligue 1 clash versus Paris Saint-Germain, Balotelli was asked whether Cavani is a better player when compared to Ibrahimovic to which he replied: “You cannot compare Ibrahimovic with Cavani. Zlatan is better, even if I have a lot of respect for Cavani who is the best player in Ligue 1 because he scores a lot of goals. But Zlatan is in a whole different dimension.”

Neymar Affected by Edinson Cavani’s Actions

Former PSG winger Nene claims that superstar Neymar is stressed out by his disagreements with Edinson Cavani. Neymar recently made the switch to Paris St Germain for a world record fee of £ 196 million. This appears to have hurt Cavani, who was finally relishing the striker’s role after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As a result, the Uruguayan and Brazilian have been in constant backlash over several aspects, but the main source of disagreement has come with regard to the spot kicks. Cavani has been the first choice for PSG when it comes to penalties, but Neymar once this position as a result of his world record fee.

Cavani has a lot of pressure to prove himself as the regular starter in the PSG outfit, as he was once an expensive acquisition for the club. Cavani made the £ 62 million switch from Napoli a couple of years ago. However, this fee is dwarfed by Neymar’s transfer. After the public disagreement between the two players on the pitch earlier in the campaign, it is believed that the PSG owners stepped in to solve the issue for the time being. However, it does not seem to have gone away completely, as Neymar was not allowed to take a penalty in a recent league match.

Marseille match in the past for PSG insists Edinson Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani was pleased to return to winning ways after he scored a brace in Friday night's Ligue 1 outing versus Nice. The Uruguay international found the opener in just the third minute of the game, and this gave Les Parisiens the edge to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory.

The goals were Cavani's 98th and 99th in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt, and following the game, he insisted that it was a great way to regain the confidence after the 2-2 draw versus Marseille last week, he said: "Every match is different. Against Marseille, it was more complicated because the pitch is different -- there were a lot of things we could have done better. Here, we got back to scoring ways in the first half and that allowed us to play with more serenity and then kill off the game.

Dani Alves hits back at Diego Forlan's criticism of Neymar and Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Dani Alves has reportedly hit back at Diego Forlan after he appeared to criticise the on-field dispute between Neymar and Edinson Cavani over a penalty kick.

The pair landed in a disagreement over who should take the penalty in the 2-0 win over Lyon, which Cavani eventually missed.

Following the game, Forlan came in the defence of his Uruguayan compatriot Cavani, who seemed to have been put at fault for the incident, he told Radio Sport 890: "What doesn't make any sense is what Alves does, he doesn't give the ball to Cavani and then gives it to Neymar as if he were his b----.Cavani deserves respect. He has been scoring goals for years, taking penalties. There has to be respect. Neymar would not have done that with [Lionel] Messi. He didn't want Cavani to take the penalty. He was like a little boy annoying him."

Spalleti's Inter are genuine title contenders

During the 2016-17 season of the Italian League Serie A, Inter Milan finished in the 7th spot in what was a very forgettable campaign. Whilst they remained one of the most watched teams onsocagol, fans were slowly being turned off by their stodgy performances, with the squad with the black and blue jerseys failing to make much of a mark in any competition as they struggled to add silverware to their collection.

This occurred when Stefano Pioli was at the helm of Inter Milan and not surprisingly, he was sacked after only 6 months.

Fast forward 10 months, and Inter are back topping the table as the most popular team to watch on direttastreamingcalciogratis.it in Serie A, with the change of coaches the obvious factor in their change in fortunes.
