MAROTTA: ERIKSEN CAN LEAVE

Inter Milan chief executive officer Beppe Marotta has admitted that midfielder Christian Eriksen will not be tied down to the club from January. He says that the midfielder can leave the San Siro if required.

The Denmark international came to the club only in last January on a free transfer from Tottenham. He was seen as the player who can bring a creative spark to the Italian outfit and help challenge for the league title. This, however, has to be the case since the form experienced by the midfielder has been quiet poor and this has resulted in the loss of a first-team spot.

Antonio Conte does appear to have given up on the midfielder. The manager recently said that Christian Eriksen had been given a lot of opportunities without making an impression and it is unlikely that he would receive more such options in the first-team. Marotta talks about Messi and Alexis Sanchez

Inter Milan director Giuseppe Marotta says that the club signing a deal with Lionel Messi is similar to ‘fantasy football’. The player has been linked with a move to Inter in the past years. Beppe Marotta says Club wont Sign any new Striker this Season

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta says that the club will not be looking to sign a new striker in the summer since they are already well-stocked in this area.

Marotta was questioned about the possibility of signing Edinson Cavani from Paris St Germain. Cavani has been a transfer target for several clubs ever since joining PSG. He has been unhappy at the French outfit due to lack of importance. Despite scoring almost a goal every other game, Cavani has found itself either on the bench or playing out of position.

Many Premier League outfits have been linked with the Uruguayan but Juventus are reportedly the latest big-money move potentially available for the forward. Marotta says that Juventus already have a promising forward line-up that could consist of players like Alvaro Marotta, Simone Zaza, and Paulo Dybala. These young players can be complemented well by the experienced Mario Mandzukic, according to Marotta. Signing another forward like Cavani will start speculation about one of the existing players at the club. After having just won the league title for a fifth consecutive season, Juventus are not ready to sell the players that have been core towards their success.

The best possible player who could be sold off to make way for Cavani is Zaza, who has made only four league appearances from the starting line-up. “As things stand today, there’s no possibility of us signing him. We’ve got an attack which is already made up of some promising young players like [Paulo] Dybala, [Alvaro] Morata and [Simone] Zaza, and an experienced player in [Mario] Mandzukic. But then again, we all know what can happen in the transfer market and we are evaluating what could be opportunities for us,” said Moratta. The Juventus general manager also dismissed the idea of making a move for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik.
