Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez wrecked havoc on the Italy defence as he helped Argentina win the Finnalisima. Martinez scored one goal and provided an assist as Argentina thrashed Italy 3-0 to win the Finnalisima. The latest Finnalisima was contested by the reigning Copa America champions (Argentina) and the reigning European champions (Italy).
Martinez, 24, has been in Italian football for four years since he signed for Inter Milan from Argentine club Racing. He signed for the Nerazzuri in 2018. Martinez was a thorn in the flesh of the Italian defenders during the Finnalisima.
He scored the opener from close range in the 28th minute off the assist from seven-time Ballond’or recipient Lionel Messi. The Inter Milan star then provided the assist for the classy finish from Angel Di Maria for the second Argentina goal on the stroke of half-time.
