Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been ruled out till the start of next month after suffering head trauma. The Nigerian international suffered head trauma at the weekend during the Italian Serie A clash with Atalanta.

Victor Osimhen, 22, hit his head on the turf after the collision with Atalanta player Cristian Romero. The Super Eagles of Nigeria striker was unconscious as he was rushed to the hospital. The Napoli player underwent some tests and has been cleared of any head damage afterwards. He will need to rest for some days before returning to action. To this effect, Victor Osimhen could miss the next two games for Italian football giants Napoli in all competitions.


The future of midfielder Christian Eriksen seems to be entirely in the hands of Inter Milan, who will make a decision on the availability of the player once the January window opens. The former Tottenham midfielder has been a major flop for Inter after moving to the San Siro for around £ 17 million.

He has failed to make any impact and manager Antonio Conte has subsequently dropped him from the squad. After signing a four-year contract, Eriksen is not under a great deal of pressure to seek a move away from Inter, who have publicly stated that the midfielder may not have a future at the club.

Premier League legend Cesc Fabregas could have been playing in Italian football rather than in the French Ligue 1 after the Spaniard revealed that he had two offers from the clubs in Italian football before he made the decision to leave the Premier League for France at the start of last year. Fabregas talked about Italian football clubs during an exclusive interview with Italian football news portal Tuttosport.

Fabregas, 33, could have been playing in the Italian Serie A if he opted for Italy ahead of France. According to him, he spoke to both AC Milan and Napoli before signing for French giants AS Monaco.


Inter Milan chief executive officer Beppe Marotta has admitted that midfielder Christian Eriksen will not be tied down to the club from January. He says that the midfielder can leave the San Siro if required.

The Denmark international came to the club only in last January on a free transfer from Tottenham. He was seen as the player who can bring a creative spark to the Italian outfit and help challenge for the league title. This, however, has to be the case since the form experienced by the midfielder has been quiet poor and this has resulted in the loss of a first-team spot.

Antonio Conte does appear to have given up on the midfielder. The manager recently said that Christian Eriksen had been given a lot of opportunities without making an impression and it is unlikely that he would receive more such options in the first-team.


As many as four players could be missing for Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso ahead of their league meeting with league leaders AC Milan this weekend. Gattuso has been able to mastermind a decent start for Napoli in the Italian top flight this season and the upcoming test will be determine their status as far as the league title is concerned.

AC Milan are one of the three unbeaten teams in the division after the first seven league games of the season. Ibrahimovic determined to win silverware with AC Milan next season

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has emphasised his desire to win silverware with AC Milan after signing a contract extension with the club. The 38-year-old joined the Rossoneri on a short-term deal in January and he contributed 10 goals and five assists from 18 appearances as the club qualified for the Europa League.

He has now put pen-to-paper on a new contract until June 2021 and has expressed his desire to win some kind of silverware with the San Siro outfit, he told the club’s official website: “The choice to return to Milan? I’ve come here to bring Milan back to where it should be and I’ll do everything to achieve our objectives. We need to work hard and make sacrifices but I think in the last six months of last season everyone understood what is needed to achieve our objectives. But we must not forget, we haven’t won anything, yet. In my mind, my objective is always to win something, that’s my objective, I start the season intending to win… To win, simply put.”
